4-H Learning Day

Updated: Aug 24, 2020

Sugar Hill Farm was proud to host a learning day for 4-H groups representing 4 New York State counties. Owner, Betsy Kubiak and her amazing staff presented horses and delivered instruction to a group of youngsters hungry for knowledge about horse care.

Sugar Hill Trainer, Mitch Sperte

Trainer Mitch Sperte and Assistant Trainer, Caitlyn Soudan gave several demonstrations. Mare managers, Chelsea Quinlivan and Jerrika Crawford introduced the youth to the brood mares and last year's foals.

Along with a full tour of the facility, the learning day included conversation about mare nutrition, leg and hoof care, basic training, the all-important ground manners program and much more.

It was honor for the Sugar Hill team to share the day with these young, aspiring horse lovers! We all look forward to the opportunity to do it again!
